Word has come in that yet another classmate has been lost, TOM VENARO. The following obituary has been received:

Thomas E. Venaro, age 76, of Faribault, MN, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at his home.

Thomas Edward, the son of Emil and Eileen (Lambert) Venaro, was born on July 29, 1943 in Faribault.  He graduated from Faribault High School.  Tom worked at Crown Cork & Seal in Faribault for over 25 years until his retirement.  Following retirement, he worked at Cannon Valley Printing in Northfield, MN.  Tom cherished time with his grandchildren, enjoyed cooking, watching movies and going out to lunch with his friends, Rita Headline and Joanne Sharpe.  He also enjoyed the companionship of his rescue dog, Roscoe.

He is survived by his daughters, Kirsten Gorski (Mike) of Apple Valley, MN and Rebecca Bokman (special friend, Robert Koch) of Northfield; ten grandchildren, Leslie Epps, Stacy Thomas, Tim Venaro, and Josh Venaro, Zach Hullett, Asha Hullett, and Jordan Berken, and Taylor Bokman, Tasha Bokman, and Jedda Bokman; many great grandchildren; his brother, Donald Venaro of Northfield; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Eileen; and his son, Mark Venaro.

Honoring Tom’s generous wishes, his body was donated to the University of Minnesota Anatomical Bequest Program for the advancement of science. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date

Sadly, word has been received that we have lost another classmate, RONALD PINC.  Ron's daughter Kathy reports that Ron unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, from complications related to heart surgery.  A link to Ron's obituary appears below where you can sign the Guest Book of Condolences.

Thoughts and prayers are also requested for Marty Duncan and his family.  Marty's wife of 53 years, Carolyn, passed away on Septermber 30,2019.  For those wishing to send sympathy cards, the address is:

Mark your calendars NOW for our Fall Class Luncheon to be held on October 17, 2019, at Porter Creek Restaurant in Burnsville, MN. The restaurant is located west of 35W, just off County Road 42.  The address is: 14201 Burngarten Drive, Burnsville, MN  55306.  

If you haven't attended one of our luncheons at this venue, you need to treat yourself because the food is delicious, as is the company with all of your classmates. As usual, festivities begin at 11:30.  Hope you can come join us for good food and good conversation.

There was a GREAT turnout of 37 classmates, spouses, and significant others from the GREAT Class of 1961 for the Summer Luncheon held at Winjum's Shady Acres.
